HOWARD COUNTY - Howard County Commissioners talked about several issues during their meeting on Monday.
One of the topics discussed was an endorsement for a proposed new rail and industrial park.
The rail park would cover about 600 acres of land on north Moss Lake Road, just east of Big Spring.
Commissioners did express concerns over additional damage on the roads in that area.
The Service Transportation Board must still give their approval on the project before it moves forward.
Commissioners also gave the green light to a military special operations command training exercise.
The project, also known as Jade Helm 15, would take place in the county this summer.
People involved in the training would participate in operations including green berets and various airborne operations.
