A Hobbs man is dead following a rollover accident on Tuesday night in Lea County. The accident happened around 10:25 p.m. on U.S. Highway 62/180 at the intersection of Campbell Road.

LEA COUNTY, N.M. – A Hobbs man is dead following a rollover accident on Tuesday night in Lea County.

The accident happened around 10:25 p.m. on U.S. Highway 62/180 at the intersection of Campbell Road.

According to the report, a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Macricio Valeriano-Lujan was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 62/180 when the trailer he was pulling started swerving from side to side, lost control as the vehicle entered a median and the vehicle overturned several times.

Valeriano-Lujan was pronounced dead on the scene.
