HOBBS, N.M. – One Hobbs man facing two counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer after an incident on Tuesday.

Hobbs Police were called out to the 500 block of North Houston in reference to a subject who had been stabbed.

When officers arrived, they learned a victim was stabbed in the ribs.

Officers later made contact with 36-year-old David Flores and asked him to step outside. Once outside, Flores was asked by police to take his hands out of his pockets and he refused.
