WARD COUNTY - Three people are confirmed dead and two others were injured after an accident on Interstate 20 in Ward County.

The accident happened on Interstate 20, near mile marker 66 on Thursday evening.

Officials on the scene tell NewsWest 9, an oilfield vehicle traveling westbound on Interstate 20 had a left front tire blow out.

The blowout caused the oilfield vehicle to cross the median and collided with a pickup truck traveling eastbound on the Interstate.
