United Way Volunteers Investing in Pre-Kindergarten Students at Midland ISD

Midland ISD Press Release

Beginning this month, Crockett Elementary School pre-kindergarten and Head Start students are benefiting from a new “Ready to Read” program.

The program is led by about 20 volunteers from The United Way of Midland Women’s Leadership Council.

As part of the program, volunteers will read to
students every two weeks; students will then be able to take the books home to their families.

The next reading session will be held beginning at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 25, at Crockett, 401 E. Parker Ave.

Crockett Principal Lisa LeClear said she is grateful for the support of the volunteers.
