ODESSA - U.S. Marshals made a bust in Odessa on Monday but it took a lot of work.

A warrant was out for Chay Zed Morris earlier this month for violating his probation.

He had just finished serving time for making a meth lab.

Marshals began watching a house on Lancaster where they thought Morris may be staying.

They saw him leave the house and tried to stop him and that's when the chase began.

He slowed down enough to jump out of the car while it was moving and ran.

Meanwhile, the car ran over a curb, through some shrubs and rested against a house on Lancaster.

Deputies finally found Morris in the backyard of a home and arrested him.
