ODESSA - New details on a 5-year-old boy hit and killed by a pick-up truck.

Now, Child Protective Services (CPS) has stepped in.

Christopher Kayden Roedel was killed Sunday when he tried to run across West University near Conover.

CPS tells NewsWest 9, they're now investigating and have removed Christopher's siblings from their parents' home.

Apparently, case workers have looked into the boy's family before, but they haven't given any specifics on why.
