Snow Expected Across West Texas

WEST TEXAS - West Texas could start seeing more winter weather as early as Thursday night.

The heaviest snow will likely fall in far West Texas. Areas near and west of the I-10 and I-20 split could see four to six inches of snow.

The I-20 corridor from Kent to Colorado City, including Midland, Odessa and Big Spring, could see one to three inches of snow.

Areas that receive snow are expected to remain well below freezing well into Saturday morning. TXDOT advises that travelers should consider taking extra food, water and blankets with them.
