WEST TEXAS - The Texas Forest Service tells NewsWest 9, the rain showers have helped reduce the need for extra crews in West Texas.

But several weeks ago, the Forest Service rolled in some of the most advanced firefighting equipment around.

Officials tell NewsWest 9, the season turned out to not be quite as extreme as they initially thought.

Now, they're re-shuffling the equipment all over the State, but they haven't completely pulled out of our area.
