BREWSTER COUNTY - Brewster County is putting out the call for volunteer firefighters.
Officials say last weeks fire south of Alpine was a wake up call.
The fire near Loma del Norte burned over 600 acres.
Brewster County Emergency Management Coordinator Tom Santry tells NewsWest 9, the county simple does not have enough volunteers and many are students who leave for holidays.
