Investigators say a 2017 Honda and a DPS Trooper patrol vehicle were pulled over on FM 700 just after 8:30 in the morning.

The driver of the Honda left his vehicle to talk with the DPS Trooper next to the patrol vehicle. Meanwhile, the third vehicle, a 2012 Ford, was driving southbound on FM 700.

The driver of the Ford first struck the Honda, the driver of the Honda, and then the patrol vehicle.

The driver of the Ford was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter.
