A typical mid-July day today in West Texas with plenty of sunshine, a few cumulus clouds, and temperatures rising into the mid to upper 90s. Later into the afternoon and evening, we could see a few showers and storms lake their way into SE New Mexico, but chances into the Texas side of the Permian Basin look quite slim. It will be very warm this evening, as temperatures will likely not fall below 90 until after sunset.
By morning, low temps fall to near 75 degrees and a few isolated showers possible mainly in far West Texas and SE New Mexico. This is true again into the afternoon and evening. The Permian Basin will likely stay dry all day with high temps once again in the upper 90s. The summer weather continues all week, as even some triple digits will be possible by Thursday and Friday as only isolated rain chances continue (10% or so).
