ODESSA, Texas — TxDOT is warning drivers about the installation of arms at the traffic signal poles at an intersection on East Loop 338.

The impacted intersection is at 52nd/56th Streets.

Closures will be possible at any time from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on January 23.

During this time traffic will be entirely stopped  for around 30 minutes while the arms are being installed.

Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes or expect major delays while work is being done.

TxDOT says the southbound lanes will be finished first then switch to the northbound lanes.

Drivers should pay attention to any warning signs, flaggers and barricades implemented in the work zone.

TxDOT anticipates the entire project will take around six weeks to complete.
