MIDLAND, Texas — Traffic is backing up on Loop 250 following a crash.
The three-vehicle accident occurred between Midkiff and Garfield in the westbound lanes around 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
Midland police and EMS are on the scene, though no one was injured in the crash.
According to MPD, the three cars were driving in the inside lane of the Loop.
The driver of the third vehicle stated he had looked down to mess with his AC. When he looked up the vehicles in front of him had stopped.
Police say the driver slammed on his brakes to avoid a collision but lost control and struck the other two vehicles before rolling.
The third driver was cited for his failure to control speed.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area if possible while the crash is being cleared.
TxDOT has closed the lane due to construction in the area.
