WINKLER COUNTY, Texas — UPDATE: Texas DPS revealed that 37-year-old Alex Martinez of Odessa was the victim of the fatal crash on SH 302.
The initial investigation stated that Martinez was traveling east on SH 302 when Martinez failed to realize traffic was stopped ahead and veered into the westbound lane to avoid other cars. The second vehicle, driving westbound on SH 302, was hit by Martinez. The driver, 40-year-old Moran Servando of New Mexico was not injured in the crash.

UPDATE: SH 302 has been cleared and reopened as of 7 p.m., according to the Winkler County Sheriff's Office.

One person has been killed in a crash in Winkler County.
According to the Winkler County Sheriff's Office page, three vehicles were involved on the crash that happened on State Highway 302, around six miles east of Kermit.
The identity of the person killed has not been released at this time.
As of around 2 p.m. SH 302 was closed while crews work the scene.
