MIDLAND, Texas — On Monday, Midland County Emergency Management purchased a new drone.
The drone is to help the county with responding to accidents, fire, and other types of emergencies.
County Judge Terry Johnson said the drone will help a lot with tank battery fires. This will allow the crew to get up close but physically stay a distance away without risking a human's life.
The purchase for approval came unanimously from the Commission's Court.
