ODESSA – One woman is facing several charges after her baby tested positive for cocaine.
Odessa Police arrested 27-year-old Tiffany Dianna Rios on Thursday on charges of endangering a child, false identification, public intoxication and two misdemeanor warrants.
Officers were called out to the 1000 block of East Monahans in reference to a disturbance.
When officers arrived on the scene, an intoxicated female subject told them there wasn't a disturbance.
The intoxicated woman identified herself as 27-year-old Kandies Rios and said that she didn't know her social security number.
Officers later learned that wasn't the woman's real name and officials identified her as Tiffany Rios and that she had three warrants out for her arrest, including a felony endangering a child warrant.
Back on March 27, Odessa Police were informed about a child that had been born and tested positive for cocaine.
About three months later, Tiffany Rios admitted that she had ingested cocaine during her pregnancy.
Due to that admission to investigators, a warrant was later obtained for Rios for endangering a child.
