The battle over the dunes sagebrush lizard continues.

Senator Kel Seliger will hold a Senate Natural Resources Subcommittee Hearing on the lizard in Odessa.

He'll discuss the negative implications of putting the lizard on the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Endangered Species list will have.

Seliger says it would have a far reaching effect on the oil and gas industry.

That's because if the lizard is placed on the list, companies would not be able to drill in certain areas.

That hearing will take place Monday, April 30 at the UTPB Mesa Building in multipurpose room 2130.
