ODESSA, TX (KWES) - At around 7 p.m. Saturday evening Odessa police responded to a major accident in Odessa that resulted in a fatality.
21-year-old Nathan Subia was with a passenger, 32-year-old Ernesto Sanchez, crossing the intersection of Andrews Highway and 100th in a pickup truck when another truck driven by 52-year-old John Hunt of Baytown, Texas ran the stop sign at that intersection causing the vehicle Subia was driving to collide with Hunt’s.
Subia was transported to Medical Center Hospital and later pronounced deceased by medical personnel.
The other victims of the accident were also transported to Medical Center Hospital, Hunt received life-threatening injuries in the crash, Sanchez’s injuries were non-life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing, we will update with any more information as it becomes available.
