  • Elf the Musical

Midland Community Theatre is debuting their final season show “Elf the Musical”. Based on the 2003 Christmas movie staring Will Ferrell, the show will have evening shows on Friday and Saturday and a Sunday matinee.

  • Junie B. Jones

The Permian Playhouse is opening its winter show “Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells” on November 30th. The show is a delightful holiday performance perfect for the whole family.

  • H-E-B Feast of Sharing

H-E-B’s annual Feast of Sharing will take place on December 7 in Odessa. The event will also include music, arts and crafts and kids’ activities.

  • Very Merry Midland
Very Merry Midland is open in Downtown Midland through December 22 and this year will feature some new and exciting sights. There will be a giant inflatable snow globe to take pictures in and games and activities, including ice skating.
  • Starbright Village
Starbright Village, the annual display of lighted Christmas scenes, is open through New Year’s Day. Starbright Village also includes Santa Land, where children can meet Santa from 7 to 9 p.m. through December 21
  • West Texas North Pole Village

The West Texas North Pole Village is returning to Ector County during the month of December. The village is open now and will go on until Dec. 23.

  • Open House

As part of Christmas at the Mansion, the Museum of the Southwest is holding an Open House event on December 8. Attendees will be able to listen to performances by local musicians, enjoy holiday-themed crafts, see the decorated campus and visit Santa.

  • Ugly Sweater Run

The sixth annual Ugly Christmas Sweater 5k Fun Run is set for Dec. 8. Guests can also get a holiday photo op, prize in the ugliest sweater contest, treats and refreshments and medals if they are one of the first 250 runners.

  • Holiday Magic

FirstCapital Bank of Texas and 107.1 FM/KWEL Radio are holding a Holiday Magic event in Downtown Midland to celebrate the holiday season. Attendees will be able to enjoy cookies and wassail on December 7 while musicians perform.

  • Betenbough Christmas Event

Betenbough New Home Center is hosting a fun Christmas event on December 7 that is free and open to the public. There will be hot cocoa, cookies from Tony’s Old Fashioned Bakery and popcorn from Popcorn Premiere.

  • Comanche Trail Festival of Lights

The Comanche Trail Festival of Lights is open through Dec. 25. The light show boasts over a million lights on display in the Comanche Trail Park in Big Spring.

  • Sounds of the Season

The Midland-Odessa Symphony and Chorale will be preforming the Sounds of the Season show on Dec. 8. The Symphony Orchestra will be joined by the Symphony Chorale, Voices of the Permian Basin, Lone Star Brass and West Texas Winds.

  • Whataburger Customer Appreciation

Get into the spirit of the season with free Whataburger during their Customer Appreciation Event coming to Odessa Sunday. Free Whataburgers will be given out with the purchase of a medium fry and drink. Free photos with Santa will be available as well.

  • Christmas Fair

La Hacienda Event Center is hosting the Christmas Fair by Risas y Sonrisas on December 9. At the fair, guests can enjoy some Christmas shopping and support local businesses.
