LOVINGTON, NM (KWES) - A wave of email bomb threats that flooded inboxes Thursday, threatening businesses, schools and newspapers, effected at least three institutions in Lovington, New Mexico.

According to police, the Nor-Lea Hospital District received numerous threatening emails.

As a precaution, police and hospital management evacuated all non-essential personnel and patients before conducting a sweep of every room, closet and office.

No bombs were found, and the hospital was reopened several hours later.

The Lovington School Clinic and a private business on Commercial Street were also affected.
