It happens to all of us. When you fall asleep, you sometimes wake up to find imprint lines on your face or on your arms.

When one West Texas boy woke up at the hospital, he says those imprints on his arm formed an image of the Virgin Mary.

Maybe you've had an apparition before, like the person who saw Jesus in their tortilla or the Virgin Mary in their mango slice.

One West Texas boy says he saw the imprint of the Virgin Mary on his arm when he woke up in the hospital.

"A private revelation is when something happens to an individual. Those who are told about it may or may not choose to believe it," Monsignor James Bridges of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Midland, said.

Although these imprints last a short while, Bridges said the impact of these experiences could last a lifetime.

"These experiences that people have could be a great gift to them. It could call them to turn from bad and promote good in their life," Bridges said.

The young boy's family did not wish to speak on camera, but a friend acknowledges the faith instilled in the family after seeing this image and they're willing to share it with others.

"Others may not be convinced even when they see what you're pointing out. They may not get the same impression of what is there than you do, so therefore be patient with those who may show they're unable to experience what you claim you're experiencing," Bridges said.
