MIDLAND-ODESSA, Texas-- The 27th annual Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive took place on May 11.
According to the West Texas Food Bank, the Midland and Odessa post offices collected 50,541 pounds of food from mailboxes across the cities.
Around 25,818 came from Odessa and the other 24,723 pounds cane from Midland.
While there is more food coming in from rural areas these numbers are the majority of what the drive raised, making the food drive a success.
