San Angelo Police respond to fatal crash Saturday afternoon

San Angelo Police responded to a fatal crash at around 4:30 p.m. March 30. The victim of the crash, a 60-year-old San Angelo resident, was found dead by first responders upon arrival. The victim was entrapped inside the vehicle and require extraction.

SAN ANGELO, TX (KWES) - San Angelo Police responded to a fatal crash at around 4:30 p.m. March 30.

The victim of the crash, a 60-year-old San Angelo resident, was found dead by first responders upon arrival. The victim was entrapped inside the vehicle and require extraction.

We're told that an investigation revealed that the deceased was driving a 1998 Chevrolet pickup southbound towards the 2900 block of N. Bryant Blvd. at a high rate speed when the driver collided with a black 2012 Dodge Journey that was stopped at a red light.

The occupants of the Dodge Journey were not injured.
