MISD approves purchase of new tutoring program

The program will use BookNook and help students who are struggling with reading.

MIDLAND, Texas — The MISD School Board has approved the purchase of a new program that will help students who are struggling with reading. 

The program will use BookNook, which is a small group, engaging, research-based program that provides individualized tutoring for students. 

The program also supports the instruction of learners at multiple tiers and is designed to benefit K-8 literacy skills through small-group guided reading instruction and high-impact tutoring.
