2 arrested following double shooting on Jackson St.

Investigators say two people were injured after the suspects robbed another person of an ounce of marijuana.

MIDLAND, Texas — The Midland Police Department is investigating a shooting which took place on the 500 block of S. Jackson Street.

Officers initially responded to the Midland Memorial Hospital emergency room around 6 p.m. on Wednesday after two gunshot victims arrived.

Investigation revealed the shooting occurred after two suspects had robbed one of the victims of an ounce of marijuana. The victims attempted to go after the suspects until shots came from the suspects' vehicle.

Jarsavian Ingram and Damar Polk, both 19, were later identified as the suspects and arrested at the intersection of Terrell and Dakota.

Both men have been charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a weapon according to the daily arrest report.

MPD says one victim was shot in the face and shoulder, while the other victim was shot in the wrist. There is no update on their conditions at this time.

No further information is available at this time and the investigation is still underway.
