MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Midland Memorial Hospital has partnered with Mothers' Milk Bank of North Texas to become a milk depot for mothers wanting to donate breast milk.
breast milk is collected from healthy nursing mothers who have a surplus of milk. Donors are screened similar to how a blood bank screens, involving a short phone interview, a medical questionnaire and blood testing.
Donated milk is securely stored and transported to Fort Worth where is will be tested, pasteurized and distributed throughout Texas and its surrounding areas.Download the free news app todayClick here to download for iPhone Click here to download for Android
