Brewster County teacher pleads guilty to improper relationship with student

His sentencing will designate him as a sex offender for the rest of his life

BREWSTER COUNTY, Texas — Brewster County school teacher Eric Morales pleaded guilty to an improper relationship with a student Friday morning, a sentence that will rescind his teaching certification.

The former educator will also serve ten years of probation, is required to complete 400 hours of community service, and will be given a lifetime designation as a sex offender. 

The victim's family has agreed to the terms of the plea deal, which also see Morales paying over 1,000 dollars in fines.
