GREENWOOD, TX (KWES) - It was the morning of April 21 when homeowner Natalie Heck realized her water wasn’t running normally.
“I mean there was a little coming on but not much water,” said Heck.
Greenwood Water Corporation later announced they had an electrical malfunction, causing the water to go out.
“This is the first time really, I mean we haven’t lived here very long but we haven’t had any other issues than this,” said Heck.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required Greenwood Water Corporation to notify all customers to boil their water before drinking, cooking and washing your hands or face, especially children, seniors and people with weakened immune systems.
Greenwood Water Corporation explained more than likely the water isn’t currently contaminated, but it’s protocol to wait for water samples they quickly sent off to confirm its levels.
