HOBBS, N.M. - A Hobbs, New Mexico, man is dead following a motorcycle accident in Ector County on Monday.
The accident happened just after 6:30 p.m. on Loop 338, about four miles northwest of Odessa.
DPS Troopers tell NewsWest 9, a 2013 Chevrolet 1500 was traveling south on Loop 338 when it crossed over into oncoming traffic and hit a 2012 Harley-Davidson VST.
The driver of the motorcycle, Cavin Watts, 55, of Hobbs, New Mexico, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet 1500, Coy Allen Hollis, 27, of Odessa, was taken to Medical Center Hospital and is currently listed in serious condition.
