ODESSA - An investigation is underway in Odessa following an accidental discharge of a campus police officer's weapon.
School officials say a campus police officer at Crockett Junior High accidentally discharged a gun on Friday morning.
The officer had been outside in the rain and water got in his gun.
When he tried to clean it, the gun went off.
He was alone in his office at the time and wasn't hurt.
However, an investigation is underway by school officials.
