He's been dubbed the Bayou Bandit and the feds want him behind bars.

In just six months, the suspect hit about a dozen banks across the country including two in Carlsbad.

The FBI division out of New Orleans has announced a $20,000 reward for information leading to the serial bank robber's capture.

Agents believe he's responsible for ripping off banks from Louisiana to Mississippi.

They think the same man held up two banks in Carlsbad earlier this month.

You may remember, he hit up the Pioneer Bank and the Western Commerce Bank.
In both cases he approached the teller and demanded cash.

He's described as a white man in his 40's or 50's, usually wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses and a T-shirt.
He typically enters the bank and gives a note to the teller demanding money.

Agents believe he's armed and dangerous.
