ANDREWS, TX (KWES) - Tuesday morning, the Andrews County Sheriff Office was contacted by the Eunice New Mexico Police stating they were in pursuit of a stolen white 2006 GMC truck and entering Andrews County on State Highway 176.
According to officials, the Andrews County Deputies located the vehicle 15 miles west of Andrews on 176 when it turned north onto Farm-to-Market 1967.
Deputies deployed spike strips at the intersection of FM 1967 and 181. The suspect vehicle turned to avoid the spikes and collided with an Andrews County patrol unit causing the suspect vehicle to spin out.
A passenger in the suspect vehicle exited the vehicle and fled on foot.
The suspect vehicle then traveled west on 1967 to CR 7001, then north to 181 before entering Gaines county and turning on Gaines County Road 331. The suspect vehicle then lost control and became stuck in sand.
Two suspects were arrested from the vehicle without incident. The driver was identified as Ashley Grogan, and the passenger was identified as Canan Persilver.
Gaines County Deputies took Grogan into custody and transported her to the Gaines County Jail, charges are pending at this time. Canan Persilver was released.
The suspect that had fled on foot, identified as Eduardo Israel Quezada was located by the Texas Department of Public Safety, via air unit, and taken into custody by Andrews County Deputies and Andrews Police and transported to the Andrews County Jail.
