ODESSA, Texas — Odessa Police were on the scene of an apparent shooting in central Odessa.
John Anthony Sanchez, 19, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Police obtained a warrant for Sanchez's arrest but say he turned himself in Thursday morning just before 10 a.m.
The department's spokesperson says one person was shot multiple times. The 24 year old man was taken to a hospital with serious bodily injury.
Viewers first reported a large police presence across the street from Casa Bella Park in between 31st and Maple around 7:30 Wednesday evening.
OPD says after a disturbance between Sanchez and the victim, Sanchez shot him in the leg and fled the scene.
