Lockdown lifted at Reeves County Hospital

According to employees at the hospital, a physical threat was made but no injuries were sustained and the lock down was released.

REEVES COUNTY, Texas — UPDATE: According to someone on the scene, hospital employees say the hospital went on lockdown after a physical threat was made around 4:30 p.m.

Employees say no injuries were reported and the lockdown was lifted after roughly an hour.

NewsWest 9 has still not heard back from the police or sheriff's office, so they have not confirmed this information at this time.


The Reeves County Hospital is on lockdown as of 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The hospital confirmed that the Reeves County Sheriff's Office are on the scene. However, the hospital was unable to confirm the cause of the lockdown at this time.

NewsWest 9 has reached out to Pecos Police and Reeves County Sheriff's Office but have not heard back at this time.
