MIDLAND, Texas — MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - Looking for something to do this weekend in Midland, head out to the West Texas Blowout on July 19 and July 20.

The event will take place at the Cimarex Energy Pavilion, located between Grande Communications Stadium and Security Bank Ball Park in Midland.

The event will feature 14 entertainment acts over a two day period, plus special guests and an afterparty on Friday night. 

The festival begins Friday with a day focused on country music, featuring four artists: Josh Turner, Mark Chestnut, John Baumann, and Noel Olivas and the Benders. Gates open at 4 p.m. and the afterparty, which will include a performance from the Stateline Band, will last until midnight. 

Gates open at 11 a.m. on Saturday, which will focus on Tejano music. Johnny and Nora Canales will host the event which includes artists like Los Rieleros del Norte, Elida Reyna y Avante, and Los Desperadoz.
