ODESSA – NewsWest 9 has learned that the Odessa campus of American Commercial College is closing their doors on Friday.

The college informed the Texas Workforce Commission this week that they will be closing several campuses.

The full list of locations being closed include San Angelo, Wichita Falls and Odessa.

As you may recall, it was all over a federal student loan scheme.

Texas Workforce Commission officials tell NewsWest 9, some students may still be able to complete externships and obtain their certificate but no classes will be held after June 13, 2014.

We're told that the Texas Workforce Commission is working with school officials to inform students about their options for completing their course of study and to provide them information about obtaining loan forgiveness. TWC officials say that students attending school at the time of closure and students that attended within 90 days of the date of closure may qualify for loan forgiveness.

Approximately 149 students may be affected by the closures.
