MIDLAND, TX (KWES) - DPS responded to a fatal accident that occurred on Highway 158 past South County Road 1110 in Midland County at 11:46 a.m. on April 26.
Lacy Connell, 29, of San Angelo was traveling west on 158 in a 2018 Nissan Titan.
Another driver was also traveling west on 158 in a 2018 Western Stat Truck.
According to DPS, Connell was traveling at a short distance behind the truck and failed to control her speed, striking the other vehicle in the rear.
Both Connell and the passenger of the truck were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital Where Connell was pronounced dead. The passenger suffered non-incapacitating injuries.
