October sales tax numbers released for Midland, Odessa

Midland earned almost $5 million in sales tax, while Odessa received nearly $6 million.

The cities of Midland and Odessa have received their sales tax numbers for the month of October.

Midland received $4,879,974, which is a 4.38% increase over October 2018's earnings.

Odessa earned $5,925,411.51 in revenue. Out of this total the city will receive $4,740,329.21 and the Odessa Development Corporation will receive $1,185,082.30.  

Odessa's revenue dropped slightly from October 2018's total, about a .84% difference.

Sales tax revenue for the two states is generated from two months prior, meaning these numbers come from August sales.
