AKRON, Ohio — All aboard!
Tickets for the railroad's ever-popular Polar Express went on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Tickets tend to sell out quickly, so act fast.
You can buy tickets HERE. 2019 marks the event's 26th year, which runs Nov. 8 through Dec. 21.
If you've never experienced the event before, it's straight out of the classic holiday tale. Passengers will be whisked through the valley on a two-hour train ride with cookies and hot cocoa as they soak in a reading of The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg. But then the real magic happens as the train arrives at the North Pole village, which is filled with Christmas elves.
The grand finale features Santa climbing aboard the train to greet all of its riders, and every child will receive a silver sleigh bell.
Ticket prices are $46 per person Monday through Thursday or $48 per person Friday through Sunday. Children ages 1 and younger are not required to have a ticket, but must be seated on a parent or guardian’s lap.
Trains depart from Akron's Northside Station and Independence's Rockside Station.
