AUSTIN, Texas — Get ready to get some satisfaction, Austin: The Rolling Stones are coming to town!
The last time the iconic rock band performed in Austin was back in 2006 when they performed at Zilker Park.
Members of the band, including Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood, will be performing at the Circuit of the Americas on Sunday, May 24.
Many Austinites were wondering if the band was going to make a stop in Austin after a Rolling Stones mural popped up downtown. Hints were dropped in other cities as well.
Naturally, the mural features the band's iconic tongue logo.
The mural, which is located near Congress Avenue and Riverside Drive, also features the lyric, "Get what you need,” from the song “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.”
The band's "No Filter Tour" recently wrapped up at the end of last summer. It was a European and North American tour that began in September 2017 and ended in August 2019. But the tour is coming back for a 15-city run.
“It’s always a pleasure to return to North America and play for some of biggest and best crowds in the world,” Mick Jagger said.
“We had the best time on the road last summer and we are ready to do it again,” Keith Richards said.
