Fort Stockton ISD to hold in-person commencement with social distancing enforced

Each student will be limited to four immediate family members in attendance

FORT STOCKTON, Texas — Fort Stockton ISD will be celebrating their 2020 graduates in-person, but with social distancing restrictions.

The gates to Panther Stadium will open Friday, May 22 at 7:00 p.m.

Graduates will be allowed to invite up to but no more than four guests to sit in the bleachers for the ceremony. All attendees must be on the pre-approved guest list.

Graduates must park in the baseball/softball parking lot. Guests will park in the main parking lot.

All attendees must wear a cloth mask. Guests will be screened as they arrive, and hand sanitizer will be provided.

No bags, backpacks, or purses will be allowed. Clear bags, bottled water, and umbrellas are okay.

Families must enter together, sit in assigned seating together, and leave together. Law enforcement and FSHS staff will be assisting in enforcing social distancing measures.

The ceremony will begin at 8:00 p.m. After the ceremony, no gathering in the walkways or parking lot will be allowed.

Fort Stockton High School says they truly appreciate their students and parents for their patience as they work to provide the best graduation ceremony allowed during these challenging times.
