AUSTIN, Texas — Editor's note: The video above explains why most people won't get a COVID-19 test.
The Circuit of the Americas, a racetrack and venue located in Austin, posted the announcement on its website on March 10 that the event will instead take place Nov. 15. The motorcycle racing series was originally scheduled to happen April 3 through April 5.
But COTA said that the timing of the international event during the global coronavirus outbreak "presents logistics concerns, travel commitments, and significant advance planning," the statement read.
"With the disruption in international flights serving areas that are home to many teams, fans, freights and competitors, the MotoGP Red Bull Grand Prix fo the Americas has been postponed until November 15, 2020," the announcement read.
Ticketholders will be able to attend the November event, however, if fans need a refund, COTA said it will honor those requests.
