Anthony Franze is the Chief Meteorologist at NewsWest 9. He joined the StormTracker 9 Team in June 2018.

You can catch Anthony Monday through Friday at 4, 5, 6, and 10pm. 

Previously, Anthony worked at KECI in Missoula, Montana, as the weekend meteorologist and weekday reporter. 

He graduated from Valparaiso University with a degree in Meteorology.

Anthony grew up in the small town of Gunter, in North Texas. There, severe thunderstorms sparked his passion for weather. 

Anthony’s interest in broadcasting started while recording weather updates for his college’s TV station. 

He is very excited to use both skills, weather and broadcasting, to deliver accurate weather information to the West Texas community.

Anthony enjoys living a very active lifestyle and enjoys playing any sport he can. He ran track all four years in college and he was a team captain the final two years.

He specialized in the 100 and 200-meter dashes, as well as being a member of the 4x400 meter relay. 

Anthony is a huge fan of the Texas Rangers and hopes that one day they can finally win a World Series Championship. He is very excited to be back in Texas and to be doing a job that he loves.
