Former Martin Co. Sheriff’s pretrial hearing begins Wednesday

He was indicted for a second degree felony which carries a two to 20 year sentence and a $10,000 fine if convicted.

MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (KWES) - Former Martin County Sheriff John Woodward’s pretrial hearing will begin at 9 a.m. on January 16.

According to the District Attorney of Howard County, the indictment is a second degree felony and carries a two to 20 year sentence and a $10,000 fine is convicted. Woodward previously had warrants out of Martin County for aggravated assault of a family member.
