BREWSTER COUNTY, TX (KWES) - Five Mexican citizens are facing felony charges after being found in Brewster County illegally with 286 lbs. of marijuana.
According to officials, Brewster County Deputies were investigating a call of suspicious individuals trespassing on private property Monday night.
They apprehended the five individuals, later identified as Mexican citizens in the United States illegally, and found them in possession of approximately 286 pounds of marijuana.
Following the felony charges, the suspects will be turned over to immigration officials for federal prosecution and deportation.
