MIDLAND - After more than five years of increases, the City of Midland posts its first decrease in sales tax revenue.

The City of Midland collected more than two million dollars last year at this time.

This month, the city brought in about 1.8 million.

That's a difference of almost seven percent.

This drop breaks a 65 month streak of un interrupted growth.

Even though the Tall City has had a bit of a dip, city officials say they're still up more than 17 percent for the fiscal year.
