MIDLAND - NewsWest 9 has received some new details after a bus crash in Midland.
Police officers have ticketed a Midland school bus driver for failing to yield the right of way.
The bus slammed into an SUV at Midkiff and Bluebird Lane.
No students were on board, but 66 year-old Robert Tipps ended up with a ticket.
An ambulance took Tipps and the driver of that SUV to the hospital to get checked out.
Both are okay.
The school district tells NewsWest 9, they already had a defensive driving refresher course scheduled for school bus drivers at the end of the month.
All district bus drivers are commercially licensed.
This is the second crash this week and number eleven for the school year.
