MIDLAND - There are now half a dozen more volunteers looking out for West Texas children.

Judge Sylvia Chavez swore-in six new volunteers for the local CASA program at the Midland County Courthouse on Monday afternoon.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) help look after children as they make it through the legal system after they are removed from area homes.

CASA currently serves more than 190 West Texas kids.
