MIDLAND - It's a nearly eight hundred billion dollar economic stimulus package that some say may not be enough.

"We have a number of shelf plans that are ready to go to the bid process, all we're waiting for is funding," TXDOT Public Information Officer Glen Larum said.

Both Texas Department of Transportation and Midland International Airport have several projects waiting in the wings.

"The terminal building is 10 years old. 10 million people have passed through the building at this point. You'd have flooring and restroom facility repairs, heating and cooling systems, and requirements that TSA would like us to work on," Midland International Airport Director Marv Esterly, said.

"We have a number of shelf ready plans. There's an overpass on the reliever route on State Highway 158, widening Faudre Road to put a left turn lane," Larum said.

Neither know what projects will be funded, but they are certain that it will open doors for many jobs.
